On Yer bike

"On Yer Bike," a community project dedicated to empowering individuals, addressing inequalities, and creating access to bikes. Through our initiatives, we help repair and redistribute bikes, providing affordable transportation options to those in need. Additionally, we run mechanic skills training with our young people, equipping them with the knowledge to maintain and repair their own bicycles.

Since early 2019, we have donated over 250 bikes and registered over 254 people with Santander bike codes, which have seen over 9,004 trips to date and are still counting. We have also offered free Lime Bike* rides and partnered with Forest Bikes, which provide free rides for our staff and volunteers.

In addition, we have helped BAME businesses transition from cars to bikes for deliveries. We have distributed over 1,500 bike accessories — including lights, puncture kits, locks, and helmets — through a Sported collaboration with Freewheel, Lazer, and Specialized. We have also provided Rapha cycling gear and accessories from Trek Bicycle Corporation Ltd, bike cleaning kits from Muc-Off, and even bike frames from Whyte.

This is a great example of what you can achieve when combining resources and collaborative working.
