Get to Know
Get to Know (GtK) is a project to engage, motivate and encourage young people into sharing their thoughts and aspirations. Based in and on the residents of the Bede Estate (aka Wager), participants engaged on a 12 week programme. This consisted of weekly generic youth club sessions, indoor football sessions – through which the relationships were built and ideas collated re the subject of the video.
The project ended with a community event where all participants’ family members and friends shared in celebrating the achievement. The project also won the 2013 Limelight Film award.
