1995 was the year that the Mile End community Project was founded– with a lack of services in the Mile End area, a group of us decided to start our own organisation. The goal was to ensure young people were engaged in activities that encouraged positive outlooks and outcomes. Our approach was to use the existing skills within our team to create an environment that was fun, inclusive and that would allow our participants to creatively express themselves.
Our journey since 1995 has been truly amazing. We’ve produced award winning films and projects. We are extremely proud of having been able to help all those we have engaged with explore our fast-changing society in a way that brings them into a deeper engagement with civic life in London today.
We owe a huge thanks to our participants, community, creative, collaborators, not to mention all the volunteers and staff throughout the years for joining us on this epic journey, and we hope that you’ll continue to be a part of our story.
MCP’s vision is to inspire young people and communities to express themselves through creative mediums.
MCP will provide young people and communities with the platform and support to creatively develop themselves and others into confident and articulate local communicators.
